The week that justifies Nongriat

Seven nights for travellers who have eight days and want the comprehensive version: Sohra’s cliffs, a dedicated double-decker day at Nongriat, the Umngot, Mawlynnong and Krang Suri. This is not a rushed sightseeing tour. The extra nights exist so the stairs are not stacked on a transfer.

Nongriat needs fitness and early starts. We will not put this card on a family that only wanted Riwai. Confirm the month — monsoon stairs are a different product.

  • Dedicated day for the Nongriat double-decker living root bridge.
  • A long stair. Start early. Guide extra if used.

Nongriat to Sohra to Dawki

Overnight · Dawki / Shnongpdeng

  • Transfer toward Dawki after the walk.
Day 06

Dawki, Shnongpdeng and Mawlynnong

Overnight · Mawlynnong / nearby

  • Umngot river and riverside time.
  • Mawlynnong.
  • Riwai living root bridge — the short counterpart to Nongriat.
Day 07

Mawlynnong to Krang Suri / Jaintia

Overnight · Jaintia Hills

  • Krang Suri Falls and Jaintia countryside.

Jaintia Hills to Guwahati

Transfer · Airport / station

  • Drive to Guwahati for departure.
